This is a story about school bullying. Ethan is a student who is teased by the school bully 'Billy'. Ethan is a tall, blonde-haired boy, picked on because he is good at his studies. Billy is a short dark-haired boy who enjoys teasing Ethan whenever he gets the opportunity. Ethan's Mum wants to run to school to stop the bullying, but Ethan begs her not to. So she gives him some advice. Ethan has to muster up the courage to follow through with what his Mum has suggested he do. So he stands up to Billy and what happens is surprising. This story has been perfectly illustrated by Rebecca Hughes, her bold and bright images make 'The Bully' come alive.
Review
'My daughter was bullied at school by a nasty little girl. My daughter would come home from school not wanting to go back again. She was sick and tired of this girl making her life miserable and I was worried sick about my daughter. The whole thing ended when the girl left the school. I think it is every parents worst nightmare that their child is picked on and unhappy. It happens at even the best schools. All children should read this story, because it does give them some strategies to deal with bullys. Even the kids that bully should read this eBook because they may realise that they are despised by all, rather than revered.'
